Food Safety: Microbiological Analysis

Bacteria are incredibly diverse and abundantly found in most of the natural world. Some are beneficial and some are harmful to us.

What is Food Safety?

Food Safety refers to handling, preparing and storing food in a way to best reduce the risk individuals becoming sick from foodborne illnesses.

They can cause foodborne illness to us, which the common symptom is diarrhoea.

To protect the public from disease, manufacturers and distributors of food must prove that their food is pathogen-free before it can be offered for sale.
